Ready For the Times to Get Better

I sit here feeling, like most people, a little down and out. Whether you’re on the side of thinking this is all an overreaction or taking every precaution very serious, this is a situation that has taken away almost all of our extracurricular activities. I’ve grown this page and my meme page (@thinkilljuststayhereandmeme) off of supporting artists, big and small, but these times have put a damper on my positive outlook on life. I was pretty fast out of the gate offering livestreams from my page, but it almost seems like I’ve gotten a tad burnt out on the whole process. I love helping artists in anyway possible, but I’m just bummed that live shows are gone for the foreseeable future. Live shows are where artists make most of their money as well as the venues that we’ve grown to love and trust with introducing us to artists.

Does this ever go back to the normal we know and love? I sure would love to think so, but I don’t guess any of us can be 100% sure. What I do know is that I want to be in a crowded venue with people I don’t know, experiencing artists that I love with all of my soul and having an intimate experience. I miss it...the artists, the venues, and the interactions with people I know and those I don’t.

Our online community is strong and supportive, I know we’ll always make it through whatever comes our way and I can’t thank everyone enough that has given words of appreciation and encouragement through these weird times. Let’s make sure we continue to lift up and support each other even after all of this over with. Stay safe everyone and I truly can’t wait to meet y’all out on the road, I think we’re all ready for the times to get better.

Hang in there! We will all rock out together again it’s just not going to be soon enough. Thanks for all the live streams and helping to support the music community. Keep the faith friend 🎸🎼🪕
